Is there a different method I should use in ffmpeg to get better mapping in Mediainfo or am I simply doing my ffmpeg inputs wrong that is causing the discrepancy in Mediainfo? (Although I'm quite certain I followed the ffmpeg docs correctly).Ģ. "Part" is more akin to the second part of a show, etc).ġ. Metadata episode_sort="2" displays in Mediainfo as "Part: 2" (which to me is way off and should show something like "Episode Sort: 2" or "Episode Sort Order: 2". Metadata title="Episode 1" displays in Mediainfo as "Track name: Episode 1" (shouldn't this be "Episode: Episode 1" Metadata media_type="10" displays in Mediainfo as "ContentType: TV Show" (why doesn't this map to a display of Media Type: TV Show) Why "Collection" and not "Show"? If I'm not mistaken the metadata input "grouping" is more akin to a Collection (as in metadata grouping="Lord of the Rings Trilogy" would display in Mediainfo as Collection: Lord of the Rings Trilogy and then below that would be "Show: The Return of the King") Metadata show="Criminal Minds" displays in Mediainfo as "Collection: Criminal Minds". I'm adding metadata via the ffmpeg -metadata flag but in some cases I'm having a hard time identifying the mapping in Mediainfo so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. If this has been answered just point me to that post. I did a search and couldn't find what I'm looking for so thought it would be best to ask. Keep of the great work on all of your projects!!Īpologies if this has been answered already. First I want to say that Mediainfo is a godsend.
